The Role As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting patients and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assist with a range of patient care activities and help create a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for patients and their families. About you

You are a caring and reliable individual with experience providing support in a health, aged care or related environment. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team to achieve positive outcomes for patients. You are organised, adaptable and able to prioritise competing tasks while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety and wellbeing.

You thrive in a culturally diverse workplace, are committed to fostering positive working relationships,



and are flexible in meeting service needs, including participating in shift work and supporting other clinical areas when required.

To be successful, you will have:

- Demonstrate experience working in a health, aged care or related environment, with the ability to support patients with a range of care activities.
- Possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families and colleagues.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive, respectful and culturally inclusive workplace culture.
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritise workloads, follow direction and complete delegated tasks while maintaining patient and workplace safety.
- Have the physical capacity and resilience to safely perform the duties of a Patient Care Assistant in a busy healthcare environment.
- Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a rotating shift roster and support other clinical areas as required to meet service needs.
