Work That Stays Needed

Every day, patients across Perth need to get to dialysis, specialist appointments, rehab and home from hospital, and regional patients need safe transfers for treatment. National Patient Transport makes that happen. If you hold the minimum qualification of a Cert III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport and want work you can count on, we’d like to meet you.

What You'll Get

- Pay certainty: $32.05 per hour for full-time and part-time, or $40.06 per hour for casuals (including 25% casual loading), plus allowances and penalty rates for weekends and public holidays.
- Paid induction training, so you earn from day one
- Full-time, part-time and casual positions, so you can choose the pattern of work that suits you
- Ongoing training and skills development, with pathways to progress your career
- Uniform supplied
- The security of working for a company backed by ComfortDelGro, one of the world’s largest land transport operators

The Role You’ll provide secure, respectful transport for low and medium acuity patients in stretcher and wheelchair-accessible vehicles, across metropolitan Perth and on regional transfers. That means helping patients move safely using stretchers and lifting equipment, keeping an eye on their condition within your scope of practice, and talking with patients, carers and clinical staff in a way that puts people at ease.

You’ll keep accurate patient care records and help keep your vehicle clean, stocked and ready.

About You

- Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport (HLT31120 or equivalent)
- Current WA C class driver’s licence
- A National Police Check
- A record of Traffic Infringement Notices issued by WA Police Force
- Willingness to meet WA Health immunisation requirements

It Helps If You Have Experience in healthcare, aged care or another patient-facing role, manual handling and transfer experience, or familiarity with dispatch systems.

What Happens After You Apply

We recruit in a regular monthly cycle, so you won’t be left waiting. Shortlisted applicants receive an invitation to our short phone interview from our HR team within 5-7 business days, followed by an in-person interview in Canning Vale, and successful applicants start in our next available induction intake in the third week of each month.

Diversity & Inclusion

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and encourage applications from people of all genders, backgrounds and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people with disability.
