Paxton Wines is a family-owned, certified organic and biodynamic winery in McLaren Vale. Our cellar door at Landcross Farm is the first place many guests meet our wines and our story.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced cellar door professional to join our team. You will represent Paxton to our visitors and members, running tastings, sharing the story behind our wines and vineyards, and keeping the cellar door welcoming and well presented.
Key Responsibilities
- Host tastings for individuals and groups, with clear, engaging wine knowledge
- Drive wine sales and promote and grow our wine club membership
- Provide warm, qualified service and build lasting relationships with guests and members
- Process sales, bookings and day-to-day cellar door operations
- Pack and dispatch orders
- Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the cellar door and tasting areas
- Support events and promotions as required
About You
- Proven cellar door experience, with a track record in wine sales
- Sound wine knowledge and the ability to explain it in plain, approachable language
- Current RSA certificate and Responsible Person badge (essential)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Comfortable working in a busy environment and hosting multiple groups at once
- Able to work weekends and occasional public holidays
- WSET or similar qualification (desirable, not essential)
