Role Description The Pharmacy Intern role at Chemist Warehouse in Safety Beach, VIC is a full-time, on-site position supporting the dispensary and front-of-store pharmacy operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting pharmacists with prescription processing, helping prepare and label medications, and supporting safe, accurate dispensing under supervision.

The Pharmacy

Intern will provide customer service by answering basic medication and health-related queries, guiding customers to appropriate products, and referring complex queries to pharmacists. The role also involves stock management,



maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and adhering to company policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge of pharmacy practice and therapeutics, with the ability to apply Pharmacy principles in a community setting.
- Experience or training in handling Prescriptions, including understanding of legal, safety, and accuracy requirements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to support dispensary workflow and patient care.
- Strong Customer Service skills, including clear communication, empathy, and a focus on patient-centered care.
- Awareness or basic skills in Compounding, with a commitment to following strict procedures and quality standards when required.
- Current enrollment in an accredited pharmacy degree program and eligibility for an intern pharmacist position.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a quick-paced retail environment.
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
