Melody Piano Academy is a growing private piano school looking for a passionate and reliable Piano Teacher to join our team.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and teenagers and is committed to helping students build strong musical foundations while developing confidence and enjoyment in playing piano.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing both individual and small-group piano lessons, primarily to children and teenagers, with the opportunity to teach students from beginner through to more advanced levels.

Lessons may include

- Beginner to advanced piano tuition
- Individual and small-group piano lessons (approximately 3–6 students per group)
- Planning and delivering engaging group lessons for young beginners
- AMEB exam preparation
- Music theory
- Technique and scales
- Sight-reading
- Repertoire development
- Helping students prepare for performances and concerts
- Communicating student progress and practice requirements to parents

About You We are looking for someone who:
- Has completed AMEB Grade 8 Piano or equivalent
- Has previous piano teaching experience
- Is confident and capable of teaching both private and group piano lessons
- Can manage small groups of young children and create engaging, interactive lessons
- Enjoys working with children and teenagers
- Is patient, encouraging and qualified
- Has good communication and classroom management skills
- Is reliable and organised
- Is comfortable teaching students of different ages and abilities




- Has an ABN and is able to work as an independent contractor
- Holds a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Teaching experience with the AMEB syllabus and previous group teaching experience are highly desirable. Location & Working Hours The position is based in Cannington, Perth WA 6107, with lessons primarily scheduled after school and on weekends.

Typical availability required

- Tuesday and Thursday: approximately 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Weekends: approximately 10:00 am – 7:00 pm

There is flexibility around the days and hours depending on your availability and student demand.

Pay - $35–$40 per hour This is an independent contractor position, and you will be responsible for your own ABN, tax and relevant insurance requirements.
