Senior Program Manager – Projects & PMO/n Davidson is partnering with a growing Australian organisation operating across resource recovery, telecommunications, infrastructure and Defence-related environments to appoint a Senior Program Manager – Projects & PMO. /n /n Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the national delivery and governance of a diverse project portfolio while developing the organisation’s PMO capability. /n /n This is a senior, hands-on project leadership role focused on creating consistency, strengthening governance and ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and in line with contractual, regulatory and customer requirements. /n The opportunity/n You will take ownership of project performance across a national portfolio, with responsibility for: /n /n

- Providing national oversight across Resource Recovery, telecommunications, infrastructure and Defence-related projects

/n

- Establishing and developing PMO governance, reporting, systems, templates and delivery standards

/n

- Leading, coaching and supporting Project Managers and project teams

/n

- Directly managing high-value, complex or strategically significant projects

/n

- Monitoring project budgets, forecasts, margins, variations and financial performance

/n

- Maintaining strong risk, issue, change and escalation processes

/n

- Ensuring Defence-related projects meet relevant security, contractual, HSEQ and compliance requirements

/n

- Building strong relationships with clients, executives, operational leaders, contractors and external stakeholders

/n





- Coordinating project resourcing and workforce capability across multiple locations

/n

- Driving continuous improvement across project delivery, reporting, governance and operational performance

/n /n About you/n You will bring significant project management experience delivering complex, multi-site or national projects. /n /n Your background could come from telecommunications, infrastructure, Defence, resource recovery or another complex field-based project environment. /n /n The priority is finding an accomplished project leader with strong capability across: /n /n

- Project governance – risk management, change control, reporting and delivery assurance

/n

- Commercial performance – budgeting, forecasting, cost control, variations and margin management

/n

- PMO development – establishing or improving project systems, standards and governance frameworks

/n

- Leadership – coaching Project Managers, setting clear expectations and building accountability

/n

- Stakeholder management – confidently engaging with senior executives, clients, contractors and operational teams

/n

- Compliance – strong understanding of WHS/HSEQ, contractor management and operational requirements





/n /n /n You will also be comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities across different locations, with strong digital literacy across Microsoft Office/Excel and operational or compliance platforms. /n /n The ability to meet any relevant security clearance or Defence-related requirements will also be important. /n Leadership with purpose/n The organisation combines strong commercial performance with a clear social purpose, creating meaningful employment and development opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. /n /n You will bring a leadership style that balances commercial accountability, strong governance and delivery discipline with coaching, inclusion and people development. /n /n Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people would be valued but is not essential.
