About the role

We are seeking an experienced medical admin / maternity leave practice manager cover to provide excellent customer service to our patients. The role is full time (38 hours per week) at our Subiaco practice for one year starting November 2026 with the possibility of extension or transition to an ongoing role based on the clinic's needs and performance.

Key responsibilities

- Taking telephone enquiries and booking appointments
- Welcoming patients to the practice and ensuring a smooth flow throughout their visit
- Processing Medicare and private billing transactions
- Processing ultrasound reports and correspondence to referring doctors
- Liaising with external providers to ensure efficient processing of clinical specimens
- Stepping up into a leadership role managing a team of receptionists, sonographers & Doctors
- Invoicing and reconciling accounts on Xero
- Handle staff recruitment, onboarding & training when needed
- Dealing with any patient complaints or feedback
- Stocking the clinic as needed

- Monthly billing reports

- Managing rosters

About you





- Previous experience as medical receptionist and practice management experience
- Sound interpersonal skills
- Experience with practice management software
- Commitment to provision of outstanding care to our patients and their families
- Excellent time management, ability to coordinate, prioritise and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to work independently and communicate with the practice manager and practice directors
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Neat and qualified presentation
- Commitment to comply with company procedures and corporate regulations and to act with honesty and integrity
- Desirable: Experience in a medical imaging practice
