An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Practice Nurse to join a well-established specialist surgical practice in Camperdown, supporting patients undergoing complex breast reconstruction following cancer. /n This is a highly specialised role where your experience in complex wound management following breast surgery is essential. You’ll work closely with the surgeon and wider team, providing hands-on clinical care and continuity for patients throughout their reconstruction and recovery journey. About the practice
/n The practice has been established for around eight years and is now entering an exciting period of growth. /n The focus extends beyond surgery, with a strong emphasis on supporting women throughout their cancer survivorship journey and connecting patients with appropriate healthcare providers as their needs evolve. About the role
/n As the Practice Nurse, you’ll play an important role in providing high-quality, patient-centred care, including: /n /n
- Managing complex wounds following breast reconstruction and surgery
/n
- Providing post-operative wound care, dressings and ongoing clinical assessment
/n
- Supporting patients throughout their surgical and recovery journey
/n
- Educating patients on wound care and recovery
/n
- Liaising closely with the surgeon and broader healthcare team
/n
- Providing reassurance, continuity and a high level of patient support
/n /n What we're looking for
/n You’ll be an experienced Registered Nurse with: /n /n
- Experience in reconstructive plastics, breast surgery or a similar surgical environment highly desirable
/n
- Excellent clinical assessment and wound management skills
/n
- A genuinely patient-focused approach
/n
- Confidence working autonomously within a specialist practice
/n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
/n
- An interest in being part of a growing practice and helping shape its future
