Pressure Welders – Mt Piper Power Station Shutdown Techforce Personnel are currently seeking experienced Pressure Welders for an upcoming 5–6 week shutdown at Mt Piper Power Station in Lithgow, NSW.

DIDO is available for local NSW candidates (Sydney, Penrith, Newcastle), while FIFO is available for non-local candidates from major Australian airports. Queensland preferred.

- 9.5-hour days Monday to Friday.

- $60 per day meal allowance.

To Be Successful You Will Have

- Australian recognised Trade Certificate (Essential).
- White Card (Essential).
- Proven experience as a Pressure Welder, preferably within power generation, mining, oil & gas or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience with welding processes including:
- GTAW (TIG)
- MMAW (Stick)
- FCAW
- MIG





- Ability to successfully complete weld testing to AS3992 and ASME IX.
- GTAW experience in a restricted 6G position.
- Experience welding stainless steel and chrome moly materials.
- AS1796 certification preferred, however not essential.
- Current resume clearly outlining previous employers, welding processes, project history and references.
- Own welding tools and full welding PPE.

About the Role Successful candidates will be completing pressure welding works as part of the Mt Piper Power Station shutdown, including welding on stainless steel and chrome moly materials.

Testing will be completed to AS3992 and ASME IX standards, including GTAW restricted position 6G testing and MMAW temper bead testing involving UT and macro testing.
