PRIMARY CLASSROOM TEACHER A unique prospect to join Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic College, a vibrant bilingual school in Wadeye, NT, 420km south-west of Darwin on the lands of the Kardu Diminin people.

We serve children and families from Early Learning through to Year 12 and are seeking enthusiastic Primary Classroom Teachers for full-time, fixed-term contracts from January 2027. We welcome applications from both experienced and graduate teachers who have an interest in remote Aboriginal education and a commitment to our Catholic ethos.

- Salary from $95,525 to $142,887 (relevant to experience) + 12% superannuation

About You

- Hold or be eligible for registration with the NT Teacher Registration Board
- Hold a valid Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
- Show a dedication to inclusive teaching practices and differentiated learning
- Have a respect for and willingness to support the Catholic ethos of the school, applicants of all faiths and backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Have a genuine interest in working within a remote Aboriginal community, with a willingness to build respectful relationships with local staff, families, and the broader Wadeye community
