Through the Manager of the Policy and Strategy team, provide timely advice to the Director, Policy and Strategy.
Identify, research, and analyse complex policy issues relating to matters impacting the justice system and develop evidence-based policy solutions.
Provide high level advice on relevant policy, legislation, strategies and programs, including the preparation of submissions, memorandums, reports, briefings and ministerial correspondence.
Liaise and consult with government and non-government organisations about policy and legislation, as required.
Support inter-departmental and inter-agency meetings.
Undertake other tasks as directed by the Manager, Policy and Strategy and Director, Policy and Strategy.
