QLIK Sense Platform Administrator - (EL1 Level)

We are seeking an experienced Qlik Sense Platform Administrator to support, administer and maintain enterprise data analytics platforms for the Department of Social Services (DSS) and other Australian Government agencies. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience administering Qlik Sense Enterprise and Qlik NPrinting environments, supporting ETL processes, managing platform security, troubleshooting production incidents and implementing upgrades and patches.

This role requires a technically strong professional who can ensure platform stability, performance, security and availability in a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer, maintain and provide technical support for Qlik Sense Enterprise and Qlik NPrinting platforms.
- Provide partial technical support for IBM InfoSphere DataStage and related ETL processes.
- Monitor platform health, performance, availability and scheduled application reloads.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, incidents and service disruptions.
- Manage platform security, user access, permissions, certificates and authentication.
- Administer multi-tenancy environments, applications, reports and associated configurations.
- Manage ETL schedules, application reload tasks and NPrinting report distribution schedules.
- Plan, test and implement platform patches, upgrades and migrations.
- Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery and high-availability arrangements.
- Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security and data engineering teams to maintain reliable services.




- Participate in an on-call roster when required.

Essential Skills and Experience
1. Demonstrated expert-level experience administering Qlik Sense Enterprise in an enterprise setting, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, security and operational support.
2. Strong hands-on experience administering Qlik NPrinting, including scheduling, access provisioning, troubleshooting, maintenance and report distribution.
3. Experience supporting enterprise data analytics platforms, including platform monitoring, ETL scheduling, deployment management and operational risk management.
4. Demonstrated ability to plan, test and implement platform upgrades and migrations while maintaining service continuity, data integrity and availability.
5. Strong practical experience working with data platforms, particularly Qlik Sense.
6. Experience in production incident management, root-cause analysis, change management and technical documentation.
7. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Criteria
- Experience working in a large enterprise, Australian Government department or public-sector environment.
- Experience supporting IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
- Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, networking, virtualisation, cloud platforms and security practices.
- Experience with IT service management processes, including incident, problem and change management.
