About the role

We are seeking a Qualified Bakers to join our Bakers Delight stores in Halls Head, Mandurah Forum and Meadow Springs WA, on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on baking role where you will be responsible for producing our range of fresh breads, pastries and baked goods to the highest standards. You will work in our bakery, typically during early morning and shift hours, ensuring our products meet our strict quality standards and are available for our customers each day.

This position is integral to maintaining the reputation Bakers Delight has built for quality and freshness.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare, mix and bake a variety of breads, pastries and baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards

2. Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers and other specialised machinery

3. Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistent product quality

4. Prepare ingredients and organise your workstation efficiently to maintain food safety and hygiene standards

5. Contribute to stock rotation and inventory management of baking supplies

6. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area in compliance with health and safety regulations

7. Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet daily production targets

8. Support the front-of-house team when required, ensuring smooth store operations

What we're looking for

1. A formal qualification or apprenticeship in baking (Certificate III in Baking or equivalent)

2. Proven experience working as a baker in a commercial bakery workplace

3. Sound knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and product development

4. Ability to work early morning and shift hours,



including weekends as required

5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards

6. Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and health regulations

7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

8. Physical capability to perform manual tasks, lifting and standing for extended periods

9. Reliability and punctuality

10. Experience in a franchise or retail bakery environment is desirable
