About the role

Maintech Tasmania offers onsite service and maintenance solutions for sawmills and private companies. We are the leading technicians of saw and knife sharpening and maintenance in Tasmania, offering a high level of service to our valued customers statewide. This role involves technical service, repairs, and maintenance of bandsaw and circular saws, machinery service repair and preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

- Technical service repairs and maintenance of bandsaw and circular saws
- Saw sharpening and diagnosing machinery faults onsite and in a workshop environment
- Welding and general repair work, including pneumatic and hydraulic diagnosing and repair
- Quality assurance auditing and performance of saw and machinery accuracy
- Partner with customers and other trade people to diagnose and repair machine centers to minimize downtime

About you

- Minimum Trade: qualified Saw Doctor
- Fitting and machining an advantage

- Welding an advantage
- Work experience in a trade setting an advantage
- Interests in pneumatics and hydraulics an advantage
- Pass a pre-employment medical
