About The Role

- Assist in the preparation of materials and equipment for children's education and recreational activities
- Manage children's behaviour and guiding children's social development
- To establish and maintain good communication and a positive working relationship with the educators and Director
- To respect and maintain confidentiality, regarding the management teams, the operation of the centre and the parents and children, always
- Attend monthly meetings with other educators and directors
- Consult and liaise with parents on centre philosophy, policies and procedures
- Support parents with questions and/or concerns in person, writing, telephone and/or email
- Encourage parent participation in special events and service operations ie. Parent Night, Accreditation Meetings, specific topic presentation nights, occupation week etc
- Manage children’s programs in accordance with their goals, aims, objectives, policies and procedures.
- Regularly inspect staff are upto date with the record keeping and monitoring of individual children’s progress and development.

Essential Requirements

- At least an AQF Certificate III or IV in Early Childhood Education Sector.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
- Child Protection Mandatory Reporting Certificate.
- Child Safe Foundations of Child Safety Certificate.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF) (desirable).
