NLH Workforce is taking Expressions of Interest from experienced Rail and Civil workers for ongoing work on major rail projects along the Brisbane to Gold Coast corridor.

Work starts over the coming months and runs long term.

We’re building a reliable pool of rail workers for Long term, Ongoing, Fulltime hour Works, Monday to Friday with Saturdays possible, between Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast. If you hold current rail accreditations, or you’re working towards them, we’d like to hear from you.

Civil Construction Backgrounds Highly Regarded.

Positions Available

1. Rail Labourers / Track Workers- General track maintenance and construction work
- Sleeper and ballast work, clipping, and cleaning up the rail corridor
- Manual handling, site housekeeping and loading or unloading materials

- QR Recipients- Hold a current QR Recipient accreditation

- Receive and manage track authorities under QR safeworking rules
- Talk clearly with Network Control, Protection Officers and work groups
- Keep worksites compliant and protected within the rail corridor

- Protection Officers- Hold current Protection Officer qualifications for the QR network

- Set up and manage worksite protection for work groups
- Run safety briefings and keep track protection documentation up to date

- Rail Plant Operators (Hi-Rail / Excavator)- Operate hi-rail excavators, tampers or other rail plant

- Hold relevant tickets, VOCs and rail plant competencies
- Bring proven experience operating plant inside the rail corridor

Requirements to Work on QR Sites





- Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card, current and active
- Track Safety Awareness (TSA): TLIF0020 Safely access the rail corridor, or equivalent. WET Tickets also highly regarded
- Rail safety worker medical at the right category for the role (Category 3 for labourers; Category 2 or higher for safeworking and plant roles)
- Drug and alcohol testing: you must pass pre-employment and random testing (zero tolerance on site)
- Construction Induction (White Card)
- QR-specific inductions and competencies as required (we can help arrange these)
- Role-specific accreditations, e.g. QR Recipient, Protection Officer, plant tickets and VOCs
- Willingness to work days, nights, weekends and shutdowns
- Your own reliable transport, as sites change along the Brisbane to Gold Coast corridor
- Steel cap boots and the right PPE (rail-compliant hi-vis supplied)
