We are seeking Recruitment Team Leaders and Recruitment Officers to join our ATO Recruitment Operations and Onboarding teams.

The ATO Recruitment team plays a key role in building the organisation’s future workforce by attracting high quality external talent and supporting internal mobility. We partner closely with business areas to deliver fair, transparent, and contemporary recruitment services across the full recruitment lifecycle. Through collaboration, innovation, and strong stewardship of recruitment systems and tools we provide specialist advice and deliver timely outcomes that support the ATO’s strategic workforce objectives.

As a Recruitment Operations Team Leader, you provide explicit leadership and direction to a team of Recruitment Officers responsible for delivering end to end recruitment services in line with legislative requirements and organisational policy. Your primary focus is on leading people and building individual and team capability, setting priorities, and exercising sound judgment to ensure recruitment outcomes align with business needs and procedural requirements. You’ll ensure recruitment activities are compliant, defensible and aligned with merit based selection principles while providing expert recruitment advice and delivering timely, compliant and client focused outcomes.

You’ll proactively manage competing priorities, identify risks and opportunities,



drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a collaborative, inclusive and high performing team culture.

As a Recruitment Officer, you will partner with business areas to provide guidance on recruitment legislation, policies and procedures, and best practice design, as well as deliver end to end recruitment activities, ensuring services are delivered in accordance with governance requirements. As a leader within the team, you’ll assess recruitment documentation for compliance, identify and escalate risks, support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives, and mentor less experienced members of the team to build their capability.

Success in this role requires demonstrated experience interpreting and applying recruitment policy and legislative requirements, managing relationships, sound judgement and decision making and delivering outcomes against a backdrop of competing priorities.

These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne CBD, Parramatta, Upper Mount Gravatt.
