Northern Territory
We are a specialist heavy construction equipment business, growing our Australian market and require a dedicated presence in Western Australia. We're looking for a Territory Manager - West to own and grow our business across Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
This is a field-based role for someone who wants to build a territory, not just manage a pipeline. You'll be the face of our organisation in these markets: getting in front of piling contractors, drilling companies and civil, rail and marine construction firms, understanding their projects, and matching them with the right equipment, whether that's a sale or a hire. You'll have the backing of our national team, including technical, service, hire and operations, so you can sell with confidence and deliver on your promises.
Key responsibilities
Take full ownership of sales and hire revenue across WA, SA and NT, with a transparent territory plan and targets
Build a presence across the region through regular site visits, customer meetings, trade events and project tenders
Develop and grow relationships with piling and drilling contractors, civil, rail and marine contractors, and project owners in resources, infrastructure, ports, energy, renewables and in general construction
Identify upcoming projects and emerging demand in each state, and position our equipment for them
Prepare quotes, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales and hire agreements profitably
Work closely with our service,
hire and technical teams to ensure a seamless customer experience whether it be for sale or hire services
Track competitor activity and market trends in your territory and share insights to shape our regional strategy
Report on pipeline, activity and performance against territory targets
About you
5+ years' experience in sales or business development, ideally in piling, drilling, heavy equipment, construction or civil infrastructure
Knowledge of piling rigs, drill rigs, vibro hammers or similar foundation equipment is highly regarded
A strong existing network, or the ability to quickly build one, across the WA, SA and/or NT construction, resources or infrastructure sectors
A proven record of winning new customers and achieving sales targets
Comfortable working independently in the field, with the drive to build a territory
Willing to travel regularly across WA, SA and NT, including regional and remote locations, with some interstate travel to meet the wider team
Current driver's licence
What we offer
Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentive
The opportunity to build and lead growth in the Western Territory, with real autonomy and the backing of an established and growing global brand
Autonomous role with regular travel across the territory
A growing, collaborative national team
Your application will include the following questions:
- Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
- How many years' experience do you have as a territory manager?
- How much notice are you required to give your current employer?
