Senior Electrical Engineer – Capital Delivery

Lead the delivery of electrical engineering solutions across major hydropower projects, focusing on HV (switchgear, transformers, alternators) equipment replacements and refurbishments. Develop specifications, review designs and drive technical decisions from concept through to commissioning.

Collaborate with and lead internal teams and external partners to deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective outcomes, while providing specialist advice, mentoring engineers, resolving complex issues and continuously improving standards and practices.

Salary range $145,808 – $169,024 plus super

Produce and validate HV equipment specifications and design outputs.

Review, endorse and sign off critical engineering documentation and standards.

Develop accurate technical inputs for project scope, estimates and decisions.

Build team technical capability through coaching, knowledge sharing and technical guidance.

Diagnose and resolve complex engineering issues to maintain project delivery cadence.

You’ll join the Capital Delivery team within Assets & Infrastructure, delivering critical upgrades and modernisation programs across Tasmania’s hydropower network, working alongside highly skilled engineers and technical specialists.
