Position Available: Restaurant Manager (Full Time)

Location: Adelaide CBD, SA 5000

Salary: AUD $80,000 per annum + superannuation

Hours: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week (Monday–Sunday roster). Evening, weekend and public holiday shifts required.

About Us:

Mugen House is a popular Japanese all-you-can-eat restaurant in Adelaide CBD. Located in a spacious 300m² venue with capacity for up to 120 guests, we offer a wide selection of sushi, sashimi, cooked dishes and Japanese delicacies, along with Japanese soft drinks, sake, wine and beer.

We operate 7 days a week for both lunch (weekend only) and dinner, and are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house operations and drive the continued success of the restaurant.

Position Overview:

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the restaurant. You will lead the front-of-house team, ensure consistent service standards, and work closely with the kitchen and ownership to achieve operational and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage daily restaurant operations, including service flow, outlet setup and readiness prior to service
- Lead, supervise, train, roster and manage food & beverage attendants and support staff
- Ensure stock levels, ordering and cost control are maintained according to budget
- Maintain high standards of customer service, food safety, hygiene and responsible service of alcohol
- Coordinate group bookings and functions to maximise revenue
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and consistent quality
- Handle cash procedures, operational reporting and basic financial control
- Recruit,



onboard and develop staff in line with company standards
- Ensure compliance with occupational health & safety requirements
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and resolve issues promptly

Requirements:

- Language Skills. English must be competent or above.
- Willingness to take on current skills and ability to quickly familiarise yourself with the various processes involved in the hospitality service aspect of the restaurant. Proficient in restaurant order management software.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a restaurant or café management / senior supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with staff rostering, stock control, ordering and cost management.
- Knowledge of food safety and hospitality compliance.
- Ability to work a flexible roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Competent or above English communication skills.
- Valid RSA preferred.
- Reliable, detail-oriented and committed to high standards.
