Role Description The Retail Sales Assistant role at Lamex Bathrooms is a Part time, on-site position based in Maitland, NSW. In this role, you will greet customers, understand their bathroom needs, and provide product recommendations and solutions that align with their budgets and design preferences. You will assist with product demonstrations, prepare quotations, process sales transactions, and support merchandising activities such as stocking shelves and maintaining attractive product displays.

Day-to-day tasks include responding to customer inquiries in person and by phone, maintaining a clean and organized showroom,



and coordinating with team members to ensure smooth store operations. You will also help manage orders, follow up with suppliers and customers when needed, and adhere to company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Strong Customer Service and Customer Experience skills, with a focus on building rapport and delivering helpful, courteous support.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal communication and active listening to understand customer needs.
- Retail Sales and Sales abilities, with confidence in recommending products, closing sales, and working toward store targets.
- Basic numeracy and computer skills for handling POS systems, quotations, and stock checks.
- Previous experience in retail, home improvement, or bathroom/kitchen products is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move stock safely, and maintain an organized, presentable showroom.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work regular retail hours, including weekends as required.
- Collaborative attitude and willingness to learn product ranges and technical details over time.
