JewishCare is a leading, child-safe social services organisation supporting the resilience and independence of individuals and families across the NSW community.
We are seeking an experienced Caseworker to join our Community Services & Engagement team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role is ideal for a qualified professional seeking meaningful, flexible work within a values-driven organisation.
About the role
You will work closely with individuals and families to assess eligibility for practical and financial assistance and deliver high-quality, person-centred case management. Using strengths-based and trauma-informed practice, you will support clients with complex needs to achieve improved wellbeing, independence and stability.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive case management and care planning
- Assess and manage risk, including child protection, family violence, suicide ideation and self-harm
- Conduct financial assessments in line with organisational procedures
- Maintain accurate,
timely and confidential client documentation
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external service providers
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary workplace
- Bachelor of Social Work required
- Demonstrated casework experience with individuals and families
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice
- Experience managing complex client risk and mandatory reporting obligations
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and community resource
- Experience in one or more of the following: mental health, disability, aged care, child & family services
- Domestic & Family Violence experience
- Russian or Hebrew language skills
- Understanding and sensitivity of Jewish Culture and Values
