Data Supply is an established Melbourne-based electronic security and electrical integration company with over 20 years of industry experience.

We specialise in the design, installation and maintenance of commercial electronic security systems, including CCTV surveillance, access control, intruder alarms, intercoms, structured data cabling and associated electrical installations.

Our projects span a diverse range of commercial and industrial environments, including offices, retail spaces, warehouses, factories, construction sites and healthcare facilities.

We are looking for a motivated and reliable apprentice with an interest in electronic security technology to join our growing team.

About the Role

Working alongside our experienced electricians and security technicians, you will gain practical, hands-on experience across a range of commercial electronic security and electrical installations.

Your responsibilities will include

- Assisting with the installation of IP CCTV cameras, access control systems, intruder alarms and intercoms.
- Assisting with the installation of structured cabling
- Learning to install, mount and connect security equipment, control panels and associated infrastructure.
- Assisting with cable installation, containment, conduit and cable tray work.
- Supporting technicians with equipment testing, system setup, commissioning and maintenance,



as appropriate to your training and competency.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation plans under guidance.
- Maintaining a clean, secure and organised work environment.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures and relevant industry standards.

All work will be undertaken under appropriate supervision and in accordance with your apprenticeship training, competency and applicable licensing requirements.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Has a genuine interest in electrical work, security systems and technology.
- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work.
- Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Can follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Has good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Is comfortable working in commercial construction environments and undertaking practical, hands-on tasks.
- Is committed to completing their apprenticeship and associated TAFE training.

Requirements:

- Current Victorian driver's licence
- Construction Induction Card (White Card), or willingness to obtain before undertaking construction work.
- Willingness to undertake required training and comply with workplace safety procedures.
- For existing apprentices, evidence of current apprenticeship enrolment and completed training.

Desirable but not essential:





- Previous electrical, security or construction industry experience.
- Basic understanding of hand tools, electrical systems or computer networking.
- An interest in CCTV, access control and electronic security technology.
- Current enrolment in an electrical apprenticeship.

Previous experience is not required for first-year applicants. We are looking for the right attitude, commitment and willingness to develop your skills.
