Are you a comms expert with a love for the esoteric? Could you spend 20 minutes talking about nostalgic 90s movies while managing a client crisis? Are you as comfortable launching a new fried chicken product as you are advising senior executives on policy changes?

Do we have the job for you.

Allegory is looking for a Senior Account Director or Account Director to join the team. If you’re applying for this role, you’ll already know what that means without a long list of requirements (that’s the first requirement).

We have strong feelings about anyone who thinks they’re too senior to get their hands dirty.

In this role, you’ll be part of a team that is as much on the tools as they are providing senior counsel in the room. That means going up and down the gears, rapidly and frequently.

You’ll have experience in at least one of healthcare, technology, and retail. Preferably all three, but don’t let it put you off if not. You’ll also have done a reasonable combination of public relations, corporate affairs, creator campaigns, and government relations.

You’ll be interested and compelling above all else. That means knowing as much about a random subject as you do about your job, recognising AI is a tool not a crutch, and taking yourself only as seriously as is absolutely necessary.

Allegory is a creative communications agency built to deliver impact in an ever more complex world. Internally, we refer to this positioning as ‘smart but fun’. Externally now too, we guess.

If it wasn’t already obvious, we are a small, independent agency. That means you’ll get to work directly with four co-founders and get in on the ground(ish) floor to help shape and grow an agency. It also means there’s no layers of hierarchy, politics, or BS.

If you like the sound of this, send your CV and a cover letter to [email protected]. Do not use AI to write the cover letter. Do something fun instead. Break the format. In return, we promise to read it and respond.
