Due to ongoing growth and expansion we are looking to recruit a Senior Insolvency Accountant in either our Melbourne or Sydney office to work across a range of formal insolvency appointments such as voluntary administrations, liquidations and receiverships as well as informal appointments such as investigative accounting reviews and Safe Harbour engagements.

We operate a collegiate work model where you will work directly with Principals and are actively encouraged and supported to pursue your own career objectives.

Tasks could include a mix of:

- Day to day assistance on a wide variety of formal and informal corporate appointments on behalf of the appointees
- Provide turnaround, restructuring and insolvency solutions to the firm’s client base
- Conduct a range of financial analysis and investigative tasks, including cashflow analysis, financial forecasting and reports to ASIC
- Prepare reports to a range of stakeholders including financial institutions, employees, creditors, directors, and investors
- Monitor and meet statutory deadlines
- Liaise with financiers, lawyers, agents and auctioneers
- Maintain register of appointments that the team is responsible for and ensure tasks and timelines are set weekly for the advancement of those appointments

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Have commenced, or are willing to commence CA or CPA




- At least 3 years of work experience in an insolvency role (including restructuring and turnaround experience)
- Robust financial acumen with competency across integrated P&L;, balance sheet and cash-flow forecasts
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and maintain a high standard of work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
