About the role

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality taxation and compliance services while supporting the development of junior team members. This position is designed as a development pathway to either a Tax Manager or Tax Consultant role and would suit an accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a respected specialist firm.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns

- Reviewing BAS, IAS and compliance work prepared by junior staff

- Researching taxation issues and technical matters

- Assisting with tax advice and complex client matters

- Monitoring workflow and lodgement deadlines

- Providing coaching, guidance and technical support to junior accountants

- Working closely with Managers and Directors on complex taxation matters

About you

- CA or CPA qualification (essential)

- Senior-level experience within a Business Services & Tax team in a public practice accounting firm

- Strong technical taxation and compliance knowledge

- Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior accountants





- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- A commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional client service outcomes
- A collaborative approach to working with others
- An interest in innovation, technology and AI-enabled ways of working
