About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team at Synergised Pty Ltd on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a pivotal position within our growing accounting and corporate advisory practice, based in Austral, NSW. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality financial services to our diverse client portfolio, whilst also contributing to the strategic growth and operational excellence of our firm.

What you'll be doing

- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and accounting records for clients across various industries
- Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to support client business decision-making
- Manage complex accounting matters including journal entries, reconciliations, and account management
- Liaise with clients to gather financial information, clarify accounting matters, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, taxation legislation,



and regulatory requirements
- Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with audit and review engagements, working alongside audit teams as required
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development
- Contribute to business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships
- Utilise accounting software and systems efficiently to streamline processes and improve accuracy

What we're looking for

- A relevant accounting qualification such as a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting, or equivalent professional qualification
- Professional membership or progress towards membership with a recognised accounting body, such as CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), or the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA)
- Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in accounting, financial reporting, and/or corporate advisory roles
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation, tax compliance, and accounting standards
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation law and corporate compliance requirements
- Proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheet applications, and financial analysis tools




- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters to clients and colleagues
- Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership capability and experience mentoring or supervising junior staff
- A proactive approach to continuing professional development and staying current with industry changes
