Full-time Position – 12 months with strong likelihood of becoming on-going

Melbourne Lawyers & Mediators is looking for a talented Senior Associate Lawyer with a minimum of 3+ years’ post admission experience in family law to join our law practice on a full-time basis. We are looking for a candidate who can make a genuine impact at MLM.

You will manage a diverse range of family law matters, provide tailored legal advice and represent clients in court. The role involves drafting legal documents, negotiating settlements, instructing counsel when required and collaborating closely with other legal professionals.

You will have regular client contact, guide them through their challenging moments and provide in-depth advice supported by detailed case research and staying up to date with developments in family law. You will also be mentoring junior lawyers and contribute to our growth through strategic business development

About You

You will have a current Victoria practicing certificate and you are an experienced family lawyer with a minimum of 3 years PAE. You must be able to show proven track record in:

· Conducting and managing family law cases end to end, including advice, negotiations and litigation;

· Drafting legal documents,



letters of advice and correspondence;

· Attention to detail and accuracy;

· Appearing in Court to represent clients;

· Deliver practical client focused advice and solution and negotiate settlements;

· Supervise junior lawyers, guide and support them through their skilled role and growth; and

· Maintain excellent and effective client relationships and clear concise communication throughout the conduct of the matter.
