Local government | 6-month contract | Shape business processes and operating model improvementsYour new company An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Business Analyst to join a large, complex organisation undergoing ongoing business improvement and transformation. Working closely with senior business design and delivery stakeholders, you will support the analysis, design and refinement of operating models, business processes and organisational practices. This is a highly collaborative role suited to someone who can operate strategically while also getting into the details of process design and improvement.

Your new role

You will provide specialist business design and continuous improvement advice across a diverse organisation, partnering with stakeholders at all levels to identify opportunities, solve complex business problems and support sustainable organisational improvements.

Key responsibilities will include

- Supporting reviews of business processes, services, organisational structures and operating models

- Analysing complex business problems and identifying risks, gaps and improvement opportunities

- Developing process and operating model designs that support greater consistency and efficiency

- Contributing to business design and organisational transformation initiatives

- Preparing roadmaps, models, reports, presentations, business cases and strategic documentation

- Providing specialist advice on contemporary business design and continuous improvement approaches

- Developing practical tools, frameworks and knowledge materials

- Facilitating engagement with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective solutions

- Building strong relationships across multiple business areas and influencing senior stakeholders





- Supporting the alignment of business design activities with broader organisational strategy

What you'll need to succeed

- Robust experience in business analysis, process improvement, business design or organisational transformation

- Demonstrated experience reviewing and improving complex business processes and operating models

- Strong strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to translate complex problems into practical solutions

- Knowledge and practical application of business design and continuous improvement methodologies

- Experience with approaches such as Human Centred Design and/or Service Design

- Knowledge of methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile and Waterfall

- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, influencing and relationship management skills

- Experience working across complex, multi-stakeholder organisations

- Strong written communication skills with experience preparing reports, business cases, presentations and executive-level documentation
