? We’re hiring: multiple Senior Database Administrator positions, NV1 cleared (Melbourne, Hybrid)

DataZen Consulting is recruiting several experienced Senior DBAs for a major Australian Government agency. The work starts with a critical MongoDB upgrade and migration program.

? Melbourne (Hybrid)

? 12-month contracts from January 2027, with extensions up to 24 months

? EL1-equivalent

? Current NV1 clearance required

WHAT YOU’LL DO

✅ Provide specialist DBA support across SQL Server, Db2 z/OS, Db2 Midrange and MongoDB

✅ Plan, validate and deliver database upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime

✅ Tune performance and protect data integrity and availability

✅ Support databases in containerised environments

✅ Document your work and transfer skills to internal teams

WHAT YOU’LL BRING





? Expert-level administration across SQL Server, Db2 (z/OS and Midrange) and MongoDB

? A proven record of enterprise database upgrades and migrations

? Experience with containerised environments

? Government or complex enterprise ICT experience (highly regarded)

? Australian citizenship and a current NV1 clearance

? Melbourne-based, and available for occasional out-of-hours work
