Working within a collaborative finance function, you’ll play an important role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting key stakeholders across the business.

Your New Role:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll take ownership of financial accounting and reporting activities across multiple business units. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to contribute to month-end reporting, provide meaningful financial insights and drive improvements across finance processes.

Key responsibilities include

- Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, appropriate supporting documentation and timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Analyse financial results and provide meaningful variance commentary against budgets, forecasts and prior-year performance.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to investigate financial issues and provide advice on accounting treatments and financial policies.
- Support statutory reporting, audit requirements and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.




- Work closely with shared services and business teams to coordinate reporting deliverables and meet tight deadlines.

About You: You’re a technically strong accountant who can operate confidently in a complex business environment. You combine sound accounting knowledge with a commercial mindset and the ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

- CA/CPA qualification, supported by a relevant tertiary degree.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar financial accounting role within a medium to large organisation.
- Strong experience across month-end close, management reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
- A solid understanding of financial controls, accounting standards and governance requirements.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process improvement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
