About the Role

Shoolin Consultancy partners with leading enterprises across Australia to deliver large-scale digital transformation programs, helping organisations modernise legacy platforms and adopt cloud-native, API-led architectures.

We are seeking a Senior Java Integration Developer with MuleSoft experience to join our growing Integration & Microservices practice, working on enterprise-grade integration and API platforms across complex environments.

You will collaborate with architects, developers, product teams, and business stakeholders to design and deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing integration solutions that connect applications and modernise legacy environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Develop and support MuleSoft integration solutions, APIs, and workflows
- Build scalable and secure integrations across complex enterprise systems
- Contribute to API-led integration and microservices architectures
- Develop API specifications, models, and supporting documentation
- Perform unit testing, integration testing,



code reviews, and troubleshooting
- Work with architects and technical teams on solution design and integration patterns
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-driven delivery
- Integrate applications across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments
- Support legacy modernisation and migration to API-led and cloud-native architectures

Core Technical Skills

- Strong commercial experience with Java 8 and Spring/Spring Boot
- Hands-on REST API development
- MuleSoft / Anypoint Platform development and integration experience
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI and Postman
- Knowledge of API security, governance, and best practices
- Understanding of enterprise integration patterns

Additional Experience (Highly Valued)

- Docker and Kubernetes
- AWS and/or Azure
- SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- Event-driven and serverless architectures
- CI/CD and DevOps practices
- API management platforms and enterprise middleware
- Messaging technologies and distributed systems
- Exposure to Node.js, React.js, or other contemporary technologies

Pay: $112,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
