- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $178,315 to $197,753 + super

Eligibility: This role is open to expressions of interest from all ongoing and temporary NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water employees.

Our Ecosystems and Threatened Species team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Manager Regional Delivery South. In this role, you will lead regional teams to deliver ecosystem and threatened species programs and projects that support biodiversity outcomes and government priorities. The role is responsible for strategic leadership, project and budget management, stakeholder engagement, and the provision of high-quality advice to senior executives.

Working collaboratively across government, community and industry sectors, the position ensures effective program delivery, strong governance, and a safe and high-performing operational environment.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring proven experience leading teams in the delivery of complex programs and projects, with robust skills in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning and operational management. Demonstrate the ability to build effective partnerships across government, community and industry sectors, provide high-quality advice on complex and sensitive issues, and manage projects, budgets and resources to achieve results. A collaborative leadership style, sound judgement,



strong communication skills and a commitment to workplace health and safety will be essential, along with the ability to foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture.

Knowledge and experience

- Extensive experience in developing, implementing and monitoring business plans and operational plans with demonstrated record in providing direction and gaining cooperation of a multidisciplinary geographically dispersed group of staff in a service environment.
- High level expertise in the analysis of complex concepts, problems and issues, and developing and applying creative and practical solutions.
- Proven leadership abilities, including effectively managing team members and financial resources to consistently achieve agreed performance standards.
- Thorough understanding of government including protocols, policies, processes and procedures.

Essential requirements

- Tertiary qualifications in biodiversity/environmental science/environmental engineering, or other relevant discipline, and/or equivalent experience
- NSW driver’s license
