The work spans both private and corporate migration, with exposure to everything from employer-sponsored and skilled migration through to complex refusals, cancellations, review matters and judicial proceedings.

This is a role where you can take ownership of your files, work directly with clients and continue developing technically without being boxed into one stream of migration work.

The Work:

The team advises across

- Corporate migration and global mobility
- Employer-sponsored visas
- Skilled migration
- Business and investor migration
- Family and partner visas
- Permanent residency pathways
- Citizenship matters
- Student visas
- Visa refusals and cancellations
- Character and health-related matters
- Administrative Review Tribunal proceedings
- Judicial review in the Federal Circuit and Family Court
- Federal Court proceedings

The practice also works with corporate clients across a range of industries and larger enterprise environments. If you already have corporate migration experience, there is scope to build on it.

If your background sits more heavily in private migration or complex matters, the team has the capability to support you in broadening your practice.

You will be trusted to manage your matters and client relationships with genuine autonomy, while still having experienced lawyers around you for technically difficult or strategically complex work.

The team is led by an experienced Partner and supported by senior migration lawyers with strong capability across corporate migration, employer sponsorship, complex visa matters, refusals, cancellations and review work.

That gives you the ability to keep sharpening your technical skills while working across a genuinely varied practice.

About You:

You will already have solid experience practising in Australian migration law and be comfortable managing matters independently.

You may currently be working as a Senior Lawyer, Senior Associate or at a similar level, or be an experienced migration lawyer ready to step into a broader senior role.

You will ideally bring:

- Robust Australian migration law experience
- Sound knowledge of migration legislation, policy and procedure
- Confidence managing files and advising clients directly
- Strong drafting and written advocacy skills
- The ability to identify legal and strategic issues early
- Strong attention to detail




- A practical and commercially minded approach
- Confidence building relationships with private and corporate clients

Experience across corporate migration, employer sponsorship, complex refusals, ART matters or judicial review will be particularly valuable, but you do not need experience across every area. The team has enough breadth to build on the strengths you already bring while giving you exposure to areas you want to develop further.
