We're partnering with a leading engineering consultancy delivering critical transmission, substation, renewable energy, and grid infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. Due to a strong pipeline of work, we are seeking both Senior Engineers and Principal Engineers to join a growing team.

About the Role

You'll be involved in the design and delivery of high-voltage substation and transmission projects, supporting clients ranging from utilities and network owners through to renewable energy developers and EPC contractors.

Projects include

- Transmission and distribution substations
- Renewable energy grid connections
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Wind and solar farms
- Brownfield substation upgrades and extensions
- Greenfield transmission infrastructure

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver Primary and Earthing design packages
- Develop substation layouts and equipment arrangements
- Perform earthing, grounding, and safety studies
- Prepare and review technical calculations and reports
- Coordinate with clients, utilities, and project teams
- Support design reviews, FATs, commissioning, and site activities
- Mentor and develop junior engineers
- Contribute to project delivery, technical excellence, and client relationships

What We're Looking For

Senior Engineer





- 5-10+ years' experience in substation, transmission, or utility infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of primary design and/or earthing design
- Experience delivering high-voltage projects
- Ability to work independently and manage project deliverables

Principal Engineer

- 10-15+ years' experience within transmission, substations, or power infrastructure
- Recognised technical expert in Primary and/or Earthing Design
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and mentor engineering teams
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience reviewing and approving engineering deliverables

Desired Experience
- Renewable energy and BESS projects

- Experience with Australian or New Zealand utility standards
- Consultancy, EPC, or utility background
