Innovation is in our DNA
- Do you love crafting digital products that people love to use?
- Are you excited to be involved in some amazing technology projects?
- Do you want to help customers shape their digital ideas?
Nexifi is an AI-first technology consulting firm focused on solving the right problems and delivering meaningful business outcomes. We combine strategy, design and engineering to create practical, scalable solutions that adapt to change, build trust and drive lasting impact.
We are searching for 3 new Senior Product Managers to join our growing global team. This role will see you work alongside innovators, entrepreneurs, designers, developers, engineers and motivated corporate clients to refine, challenge, shape, build, and grow their vision
Our capabilities span four practices:
- Digital & CX: creating engaging digital experiences that strengthen customer relationships and drive growth
- Data & AI: turning data into actionable insights, intelligent automation and competitive advantage
- Cloud & DevOps: building scalable, resilient cloud environments that accelerate delivery
- CRM: connecting data, streamlining processes and strengthening loyalty and retention
At Nexifi, we focus on outcomes over outputs, delivering solutions that create genuine value for our clients, their people and their customers.
We know many individuals that work in product roles are entrepreneurs at heart, and we want to encourage that. If there’s something you think that the world needs, we want to hear about it and help you find a way to bring it to life.
THE ROLE:
We’re seeking 3 Senior Product Managers to join the Nexifi team on an initial 6-month contract, with the prospect to extend. You’ll work across several client projects, taking products from an initial strategy or idea through to a well-defined solution, testing and validating with real users along the way. That might be an app, a website, the digitisation of a workflow, or a completely new idea.
We have a proprietary method we use in our engagements, and we expect your experience to help shape and develop it.
There are two parts to the role.
As a product manager, you’re responsible for defining exactly what the product is. The work is investigative and cognitively demanding. You need to be comfortable diving into the detail of the problem a customer is experiencing,
how their business functions, how their customers behave, what the technology will and won’t allow, and the commercial and growth strategy behind it all.
If you think there are risks, you’re expected to say so. If you think we’re going too fast or too slow, you’re expected to say so. Nothing is off limits. The team relies on you to navigate them to a destination.
As a facilitator, you’ll do a lot of that work in front of clients in workshops, in person and online. We run a lot of workshops. It’s a key point of difference for us, and we’ve found getting a group with differing views to agree is easier in the room together.
Ideally you’re at home surrounded by whiteboards and Post-it notes. You won’t be doing the designs or writing detailed requirements yourself, you’ll have a team supporting you for that. You will be expected to check the work and make sure it’s correct.
In the workshop, you’re the conductor of the orchestra.
The role is diverse and requires a relative understanding in a lot of areas. Adaptability and flexibility will be key in success. Some of the hats you’ll wear:
- The leader. Deeply understand and can recreate the client’s vision and consult, uncovering the prospect to bring alignment to the business objectives.
- The facilitator. Initiate and run workshops, elicit customer requirements, shape key areas of focus, uncover problems to be solved, map job chains, and related activities.
- The investigator. Undertake user and market validation, contextual enquiries and ensure these insights are accurately reflected in the products you build.
- The subject matter expert. Recommend features based on educated decisions.
- The details person. Guide & facilitate product strategy, develop and refine requirements, develop product road maps and backlogs.
- The craftsperson. Work with designers to craft suitable products, establishing a minimum viable product within the client’s budget.
- The cold bucket of water. Advise clients accordingly if their product vision is not feasible, if market viability is unachievable,
or if it’s just a bad idea.
- The planner. Make alternative suggestions for features or plans when they may be too complicated or too costly.
- The design enabler. Work collaboratively with the Nexifi Designers to create amazing products.
- The best friend of development. Work with developers to assess technical feasibility of the product and suggest alternative methods if any major roadblocks arise.
- The student. Continually learn industry knowledge by reading and attending industry events
- The coach. Understand Agile methodologies and current practises in the market today
- The team member. Innovate our processes & contribute to our high-trust culture
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT: We champion diversity, and with our flexible company structure we are always looking for better ways to support diverse applicants. Having a background in development, design, or customer experience is an advantage but not a necessity, for example game designers looking for a change have performed well in this role. We recognise that your background will play an important role in how you help clients identify their strategy.
Traits that will help you in the role:
- You are a natural facilitator. You make people comfortable by building great rapport but can also guide a discussion influencing clients and giving them certainty in their decisions.
- You are a ‘pattern collector’. And have many methodologies, design patterns, and tools at your disposal to optimise your work.
- You are comfortable presenting to groups of people or sitting down one-on-one to work with clients.
- You have a clear understanding of how businesses are developed.
- You follow existing and emerging technology.
- You have deep knowledge of the key elements in designing and implementing a digital solution.
- You are across industry trends and movements and can relate these to your clients.
- You are an excellent communicator and a great relationship builder.
- You are passionate, innovative and collaborative.
- You crave being a part of an innovative, disruptive, and slightly quirky workplace.
- You are obsessed with learning and always want to soak in more knowledge.
- You have a passion for disruption.
REMUNERATION & THE ROLE DETAILS:
- 6-month initial contract, with the opportunity to extend.
- 5 days per week hybrid role, Melbourne based
- Remuneration based on experience.
