SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER

Tallai is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of civil construction projects based in Townsville, QLD.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating project delivery activities, managing subcontractors and suppliers, driving programme outcomes, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineering professional with strong civil construction experience, proven project delivery capabilities, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic site-based setting.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Lead and coordinate the delivery of civil construction works.
- Manage day-to-day site engineering activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings and relevant standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project programmes, budgets, resource requirements and project performance.
- Manage technical documentation, construction methodologies and engineering deliverables.
- Identify and resolve engineering, construction and delivery challenges.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality management requirements.




- Support procurement, cost control, project reporting and variation management.

About You:

- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Previous experience in a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer role within the civil construction industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, programmes, budgets and project documentation.
- A strong understanding of Australian WHS, environmental and quality requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team.
