DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure a high quality engineering contribution to enhance the reputation of the company and support the organisational goal of continuous improvement.

- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and Australian and International standards as appropriate.

- Comply with and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures as they are developed, replaced, amended or diverse from time to time.

- Ensure compliance with all Wilshaw quality standards within the engineering department.

- Uphold the ethical values of Wilshaw.

- Provide structural engineering design for new plant and processes, and/or modifications to existing mining processing plant and systems.

- Ensure all design projects are completed by required deadlines and within lump sum constraints (if applicable).

- Design cost effective equipment modifications on client projects to improve safety and reliability.

- Provide technical support to manufacturers, subcontractors, site and client personnel as appropriate.





- Ensure calculations are accurate.

- Work collaboratively with other engineers and external manufacturers to solve complex problems.

- Ensure technical queries from manufacturing contractors and installation contractors are responded to in a timely manner.

- Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers.

- Ensure designs can be made reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments.

- Use new materials and technologies as appropriate.

- Plan and design new production processes.

- Produce details of specifications and outline designs.

- Consider cost, safety and time constraints.

- Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly those in mathematical modelling and computer aided design.

- Attend internal and client design meetings.

- Undertake site visits as required.

- Check drawings for accuracy.
