O’Brien Boiler Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Technician to join our Western Australian team.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role servicing industrial boilers, burners, steam systems and associated process heating equipment. As O’Brien continues to grow across Western Australia, we’re expanding our local team to support increasing customer demand and exciting opportunities across the region. You will work across a variety of customer sites, helping keep essential operations running safely, reliably and efficiently.

The Role

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for planned servicing, breakdown support, fault-finding, repairs and commissioning activities across our customers’ sites.

Your responsibilities will include

- Servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial boilers, burners and process heating equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and combustion-related faults
- Completing planned preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Supporting equipment installations, upgrades and commissioning
- Testing equipment and verifying safe, reliable operation
- Identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance and energy efficiency
- Preparing accurate service reports and technical recommendations
- Communicating clearly with customers about findings and required work
- Participating in overtime, travel and an on-call roster when required
- Completing all work in accordance with O’Brien’s safety, quality and compliance standards

About You

You are a practical problem-solver who enjoys technical work,



customer interaction and the variety of working across different industrial environments. Ideally, you will have:

Essential

- Electrical Disconnect Re-connect
- Type B Gas Fitting qualification
- Industrial maintenance experience
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Manual driver’s licence
- White Card
- Current Australian working rights

Desirable

- Experience with boilers, steam systems or combustion equipment
- Experience in manufacturing or process plants

Experience within the boiler industry is highly regarded; however, technicians from aligned industrial service backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
