We are looking for a motivated Short Order Cook to work alongside an incredibly skilled chef who is passionate about his craft and looking to expand our kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook meals to order,



including flame-grilled chicken, wraps, Mexican-inspired dishes and fresh sides.
- Assist with food preparation, portioning and stock replenishment.
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Keep kitchen equipment and work areas clean, organised and hygienic.
- Follow food safety and safe food-handling procedures.
- Work alongside the chef to maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Assist with stock rotation and minimise food waste.
- Contribute positively to the team and the overall customer experience.

Employment Type & Hours

We are considering both part-time and full-time applicants, depending on experience, availability and suitability for the role.

Current trading hours: Tuesday to Saturday evenings.

As Firewell grows, we are working towards expanding our service to include both lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday. We are looking for someone who is open to growing with us as our trading hours and kitchen operations expand.

- Part-time: Approximately 15–25 hours per week.
- Full-time: Approximately 38 hours per week.

Rosters and shift arrangements will be discussed with the successful applicants. Future lunch shifts will depend on the planned expansion of our trading hours.
