RAISE ENGINE
Australia
Slot Game Creator
Product: Raise Studio (first-party content) / Raise Engine
Engagement: Independent contractor, full time equivalent or per-title, remote
Reports to: Raise Studio lead, under CTO for engine matters
Works alongside: 3D/2D art, Games Integration, QA, media
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Raise Studio is the proof case for Raise Engine. Every first-party title we ship demonstrates to the creator cohort what the engine can do and gives operators a reason to put us on the top row of the lobby.
This role turns a theme into a shippable, mathematically sound, commercially tuned slot game.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Game design. Concept to spec: theme, mechanic, reel structure, feature set, progression, win presentation, and the emotional shape of the session.
- Game mathematics. Reel strips, weighted reels, paytables, paylines or cluster/ways evaluation, feature triggers, free spins, multipliers, cascades, buy features, and max-win caps. Tune to a target RTP band and volatility profile and prove it by simulation.
- Math configuration. Produce engine-ready math config JSON to the platform specification — correct field names, award modes, and emission format. Translate any TypeScript emulation into a backend-ready config that matches spin-for-spin.
- Certification pack. RTP report, volatility and hit-frequency analysis, max-win exposure, and simulation evidence sufficient for QA sign-off and any licensing or certification requirement.
- Build coordination. Work with art and frontend to get the game assembled, playable, and correct — including mobile portrait.
- Commercial tuning. RTP band selection against our hosting tiers,
and iteration on live performance data once a title is in market.
WHAT WE NEED
- Demonstrable slot titles shipped — you can point to games in market and explain the maths behind them.
- Strong applied probability and expected-value reasoning. You can build a simulation and defend an RTP number to a third party.
- Fluent in at least one of Python, TypeScript, or C# for math simulation and config generation.
- Deep familiarity with slot mechanics as a player and as a designer: what makes a session feel good and what makes it feel cheap.
- Ability to write a game specification that art, frontend, and QA can all execute from without ambiguity.
STRONG ADVANTAGE
- Experience with a remote game server / RGS math SDK and producing configs consumed by a backend.
- Cluster-pays, Megaways-style, hold-and-win, and cascade experience.
- Prior work through a certification body (GLI, BMM, iTech Labs).
- Can also produce or direct the art direction for a title.
SUCCESS CRITERIA
- 30 days — One full game specification and validated math config delivered, passing QA math verification on first submission.
- 60 days — First title live on an operator lobby. Second title in build.
- 90 days — Repeatable title production process documented — spec template, math config template, simulation harness — so the studio can run multiple titles concurrently.
HOW TO APPLY
Show us what you've shipped. Link to or name the slot titles you've built — the math, the mechanics, the results. We want to see the games, not the companies. Share your portfolio, not your past.
