Love creating content? Come be part of the action.

Aussie Racing Cars is looking for a creative, organised and motivated person to help bring our racing, drivers and behind-the-scenes stories to life.

We want to grow our audience, build excitement around our events and give fans more reasons to follow Aussie Racing Cars. You’ll help make that happen through engaging videos, consistent social media content and fun experiences at the track.

You don’t need to produce Hollywood films—we’re looking for someone who can make clean, engaging content, spot a good story and get it posted while it’s relevant.

About the role:

You’ll work three weekdays per week, planning, editing and publishing content across our social channels.

You’ll also travel to approximately 6–8 Aussie Racing Cars event weekends in 2027, coordinating a small media team consisting of a photographer/videographer and an interviewer. At events, you’ll help direct what gets captured, edit and publish content on-site, and help organise fan activations and promotional activities.

This role suits someone who enjoys taking ownership. You’ll have explicit priorities and access to the team, but we need you to work autonomously, manage your time and follow through with minimal day-to-day supervision.

What you’ll be doing:

- Building pre-event excitement: Create previews, countdowns and promotional content to get fans ready for race weekends.

- Showcasing our drivers: Produce social media driver profiles, interviews and behind-the-scenes features that show the personalities on our grid.

- Editing engaging videos: Turn footage into reels, race highlights, interviews and promotional clips using your preferred editing software.

- Managing social media: Plan content, write captions, schedule posts and engage with our audience.

- Coordinating the event media team: Organise shot lists, interview ideas and content priorities for our photographer/videographer and interviewer.

- Posting from the track: Edit and publish content throughout the weekend so fans can follow the action.

- Helping with activations and promotion: Coordinate activities such as driver meet-and-greets, competitions and opportunities for fans to get closer to the cars.

- Featuring our partners: Include sponsors and partners in relevant content and event activities.

- Keeping the momentum going: Share post-event highlights and stories and bring fresh ideas to help grow the category.

What we’re looking for:

- Strong practical video editing skills, with examples of content you’ve created.

- A good understanding of social media, particularly reels and short-form video.

- Initiative, reliability and the ability to get things done without constant direction or reminders.

- Good organisation and the ability to work quickly when event content needs to go live.

- Strong attention to detail with captions, graphics and audio.

- Confidence communicating with drivers, teams, fans and the media crew.

- Availability to travel to approximately 6–8 race weekends in 2027.

Experience with Meta Business Suite for managing Facebook and Instagram, scheduling posts and reviewing performance is preferred.

An interest in motorsport or experience in events and promotion would be a bonus.

Pay & hours:

- $30–$35 per hour super, depending on experience and editing ability, subject to applicable minimum casual pay rates.

- Casual position working three weekdays per week.

- Approximately 6–8 race weekends in 2027, paid separately, with weekend remuneration and arrangements negotiated in advance.

Why join us?:

You’ll get variety, room to contribute ideas and a hands-on role in an exciting racing environment. From introducing a driver to capturing the atmosphere of a race weekend, your work will help more people discover and connect with Aussie Racing Cars.

How to apply:

Send your CV, a short introduction and links to videos you’ve edited or social media accounts you’ve helped manage. Please explain what you personally contributed to each example.

We’d also love to hear one idea you’d bring to get more people watching, following or talking about Aussie Racing Cars.
