About the role

This role sits in a small, globally dispersed Trading Technology team based in Bermuda, building and supporting the systems the trading desk relies on every day. Around 70% of your time goes on development in C# and .NET, with the rest spent keeping a close eye on a live, mission critical platform. You will work directly with traders to shape requirements, and when something breaks, you will be the person who fixes it.

Duties

- Design, build and maintain robust, scalable trading applications in C# and .NET, including WPF front ends.




- Provide first line production support on a rota, including outside normal hours, diagnosing and resolving urgent issues directly with users.
- Work closely with Bermuda based traders to gather requirements and turn them into well engineered solutions.
- Build multithreaded, concurrent applications and work with messaging and event driven systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Hong Kong, Sydney and Vancouver through structured handovers.

Requirements

- Strong commercial experience in C# and .NET at mid to senior level (strong Java engineers will also be considered).
- Proven experience with multithreading and concurrency in production systems.
- Hands on experience supporting a live, mission critical system, including working directly with end users to resolve issues in real time.
- Solid relational database skills, ideally Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with Agile delivery, Git, Jira and Confluence.
- Exposure to messaging, WPF, AWS, Terraform or containers is highly regarded but not essential.
- Interest in AI first development, with hands on use of tools such as Claude or MCPs a solid advantage.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
- Willingness to relocate to Bermuda.
