We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced RTO Subject Matter Expert (SME) & Compliance Consultant to join our Delivery department. In this critical role, you will guide our clients through the complex landscape of RTO architecture, registration, and ongoing compliance across Australia.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep operational understanding of how RTOs function, along with a proven track record of developing rigorous, audit-ready policies, procedures, and instructional frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide authoritative advice on RTO registration requirements, structural options, and operational setups across all Australian states and territories.
- Ensure all client frameworks align strictly with the National Standards for RTOs and relevant regulatory bodies (such as ASQA).
- Draft, review, refine, and maintain high-quality, customized policies, procedures, and operational frameworks for both new and existing RTOs.
- Collaborate with clients to build and validate Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS), assessment tools, and student management processes.




- Conduct internal reviews and compliance health checks on client documentation to mitigate risks and ensure continuous audit readiness.

What We’re Looking For

- Comprehensive, firsthand knowledge of RTO operations, structural dependencies, and daily operational constraints.
- Full working fluency with the Standards for RTOs and the broader Australian VET (Vocational Education and Training) quality framework.
- Exceptional technical writing skills with demonstrated experience creating transparent, compliant, and highly functional operational documentation.
- Previous experience as a Trainer and Assessor is highly desirable, providing a practical understanding of TAS, student management lifecycles, and compliance-driven evidence collection.
- Exceptional ability to translate dense regulatory frameworks into clear, actionable advice for business owners and stakeholders.

Logistics & Availability:

- Hours: Initially 3 days a week during Australian (Melbourne) business hours. This will scale up to 5 days a week as more clients are onboarded.
