About Pillarstone Health

Pillarstone Health is a small, locally owned disability support provider based at Moore Park Beach, supporting NDIS participants, DVA, and people across the Bundaberg region. The business has deliberately stayed small, because care is the priority. Participants are known personally, their goals and routines are understood, and every support is built on genuine relationships.

With the roster growing, Pillarstone Health is looking for one more MALE support worker who shares those values: someone genuine, patient and reliable, who brings real heart to the work.

About the role

15–20 regular hours per week are already set up and ready for the right person, with room to grow. Supports include:

- Mentoring and community access. School and activity pick-ups and drop-offs for young men who would benefit from a steady, positive male role model.
- Hands-on farm support. Assisting a young man with practical tasks around his family’s farm, such as fencing, maintenance, animal care and machinery. Farm or mechanical experience isn’t required, just a willingness to get involved and learn alongside him.
- Home support (optional additional shift). Meal preparation and cleaning to help a participant stay comfortable and independent at home. Ideal for someone who enjoys cooking and household tasks.

Travel Participants are located across Bundaberg, Burnett Heads, Gin Gin and Waterloo, so applicants must be comfortable with regular travel in their own vehicle. As some funding packages don’t include travel, the hourly rate has been set higher to account for travel time and distance, and travel is not charged separately.

Requirements

- ABN and current public liability insurance
- This role is open to male applicants only. Participants have specifically requested male support, which is a genuine requirement of the role.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply immediately)
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current driver’s licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle

Desirable

- Cert III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health or Aged Care
- Experience supporting teenagers or young adults, or working with behaviour support plans
- Interest in farming, the outdoors, fishing or mechanics
