Aspect Personnel has been engaged by an established, multidisciplinary planning and design consultancy in Melbourne to find them a Senior Town Planner to join on a permanent full-time basis.

With a strong pipeline of greenfield development projects, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale growth-area planning, including precinct structure plans, infrastructure planning and the delivery of new communities across Victoria.

Working alongside experienced professionals across town planning, urban design and landscape architecture, you'll be involved in a diverse range of projects, collaborating with clients, government authorities and other key stakeholders to deliver considered and commercially sound planning outcomes.

The Opportunity n

You'll be involved in a range of strategic and statutory planning projects, with a particular focus on Greenfield development and the delivery of new communities.

n





Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Contributing to the preparation and delivery of Precinct Structure Plans (PSPs) and associated planning frameworks.
n
- Supporting strategic planning for major growth areas and new residential communities.
n
- Coordinating planning inputs relating to infrastructure provision, servicing and development staging.
n
- Preparing and managing planning reports, submissions and other technical documentation.
n
- Navigating Victorian planning legislation, planning schemes and relevant government policies.
n
- Liaising with councils, government agencies, developers, consultants and other project stakeholders.
n
- Managing project deliverables, building client relationships and contributing to successful project outcomes.

About You n

You're a motivated and commercially minded planner who enjoys tackling complex planning challenges and seeing projects progress from concept through to delivery.

Ideally, you'll bring:

n

n
- A tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline.
n
- Experience in the Victorian planning system, ideally gained within a private consultancy.
n
- Exposure to Greenfield development, growth-area planning or large-scale residential projects.
n
- An understanding of Precinct Structure Plans, strategic planning frameworks and infrastructure planning.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
n
- A proactive approach, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.
