About the role

As Tax Manager, you will play a key role in leading the delivery of taxation and compliance services, providing technical guidance to the team and maintaining the high standards our clients expect. This position is designed as a pathway to a future Tax Consultant role and would suit an experienced tax professional looking to further develop their technical expertise while helping shape the future of the profession.

Key responsibilities

- Reviewing financial statements, income tax returns and compliance work
- Managing workflow, resource planning and lodgement deadlines
- Researching and resolving complex taxation matters
- Reviewing technical advice and supporting Directors on complex client matters
- Coaching, mentoring and developing team members
- Ensuring quality, accuracy and continuous improvement across the team
- Supporting recruitment, training and broader business initiatives

About you

- CA or CPA qualification (essential)
- Extensive experience within a Business Services & Tax team in a public practice accounting firm
- Strong technical taxation knowledge
- Experience reviewing work and leading or mentoring accounting teams
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
