We are seeking passionate Team Leaders to join our expanding team at Ace Buses in the South Brisbane region, QLD. Ace Buses to assist with the operations of over 140 bus route services.

About the role The Team Leader role provides key support activities for the daily operations and bus services delivered by Ace Buses. As part of this role the successful candidate is expected to perform the duties of a Driver and Student Supervisor. The Driver component of the role requires an LR licence or higher and Drivers Authority (or ability to obtain such licence and authority) and the Student Supervisors component of the role requires a paid blue card.

Duties include:

Driver & Student Supervisor Training

- Driver and Student Supervisor performance checks and audits in line with policies and procedures
- Student code of conducts
- Checking that buses are maintained and cleaned
- Ensure Drivers and Student Supervisors are in possession of their valid Driver’s License, Drivers Authority and Blue Card




- Provide first level support for iPads and iPhones

Fleet Vehicle Movement

- Transport buses between depots and homes

Stocking Supplies

- Ensure buses are supplied with cleaning equipment and materials

Bus Washing and Maintenance Checks

- Assist with washing buses
- Support workshop activities
- Complete bus safety checks such as checking tyres and seatbelts, plus the condition of the buses
- Compliance of buckle guards and harness with Prescriber’s certificates
- Ensure child seats are anchored correctly

Conducting Interviews

- Review resumes and conduct interviews for recent employees
- Conduct inductions for both drivers and student supervisors who are successful in obtaining a position
- Conduct driver assessments where necessary
- Complete employment paperwork for new employees
- Onboarding new employees

Reporting and Communication

- Regular engagement with staff (including check-ins, procedural advice and updates)
- Conduct staff performance conversations where necessary
- Incident reporting through management processes
