We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Law Clerk with demonstrated experience in Family Law to join our growing team.

The successful applicant will already have: n

n
- Fast and accurate typing skills;
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
n
- Professional and compassionate approach towards staff, clients, counsel and court staff;
n
- Quick learner who is confident in using a range of legal and office based software;
n
- Previous experience as a Law Clerk, Paralegal or Legal Assistant in Family Law;
n
- A substantial comprehension of family law processes and court procedures;
n
- Strong drafting and written communication skills;
n
- Exceptional organisation and file management skills;
n
- Ability to prioritise matters effective and meet deadlines;
n
- Attention to detail; and
n
- Able to work as part of a team environment as well as independently;
n

Should you be successful, you will be responsible for: nn
- Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, experts and other solicitors via telephone,



teams, email and in person;
n
- Diary management for conferences, court dates and deadlines the Family Law solicitors;
n
- Preparing and drafting correspondence, court documents, affidavits and other legal documents;
n
- Preparing and filing documents in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia;
n
- Managing family law files from initial instructions to completion of matters;
n
- Reviewing and compiling disclosure material;
n
- Assisting counsel and solicitors to prepare for court appearances;
n
- Conducting legal and factual research; and
n
- Maintaining accurate electronic files and records.
