We are seeking passionate and skilled Apprentice Chef & Chefs of all levels to join our expanding team in Newcastle, New South Wales. As a key player in our hospitality and catering business, you will contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests. We have full-time, Part Time and Casual positions available, across our locations, Local Connections Restaurant, Bar on the Hill and our catering business, this is an exciting opportunity to showcase your in a vibrant setting.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the menu and standards set by the Executive chef.
n
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets the required presentation standards.
n
- Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items, contributing to the overall culinary direction of the establishment.
n
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen,



adhering to health and safety regulations.
n
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
n
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and available.
n
- Participate in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality and catering industry.
n
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred.
n
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
n
- A passion for food and a creative approach to cooking.
